Native apps
Apps that live on a phone rather than in a browser, built for iPhone and Android from a single codebase. One build, one price, agreed before we start.

Push notifications that land on the lock screen. Something that still works on a pitch with one bar of signal. A camera, a calendar, a login that remembers them. If a website would do the same job we will say so on the first call, because it is the cheaper answer.

Built, and live
A live native app, on both Apple and Android, running football clubs today. See the case study.
Case study
Ballr, the app that gave grassroots football clubs their week back
Club secretaries were running availability, squad selection and subs through group chats and spreadsheets. Ballr moved all of it into one app: players tap their availability, managers pick a squad, subs get collected, and nobody has to chase anybody on a Thursday night.
As someone that is not tech savvy they are a pleasure to work with and I never feel awkward about asking any questions if I don't personally understand something, which is a big deal to me. No matter what we have as an idea, we know they will have the best ways to do it to hand and always give us realistic timelines and expectations.
How we deliver
Four steps, and you are talking to the person building it the whole way through.
Half an hour on what the app has to do and who it is for. Free, and there is no obligation at the end of it. If we are not the right fit we will say so.
We map out the screens and what sits behind them, then price it. You know exactly what you are getting before any money changes hands.
You get it on your own phone as it goes, not at the end. Changes are cheapest while it is still being built, so we want you looking early and often.
We handle both store submissions, the review process and the launch. Then a monthly plan covers OS updates, fixes and small changes, so the app does not quietly rot.
What it costs — The question everybody asks first, so here it is up front.
We write your app once and it runs on both iPhone and Android. Agencies that build each platform separately are doing roughly twice the work, and you pay for it twice. This is usually the single biggest saving on an app project.
You get a written proposal with the approach, what is included, what is not, a timeline and a price. No hourly rate quietly running in the background, and no invoice at the end that surprises you.
A focused first version sits at the lower end. A platform with accounts, payments, live data and an admin system behind it sits higher. We would rather give you a real range now than a number that changes later.
How much does it cost to build an app in Northern Ireland?
Most of the apps we build start between £8,000 and £40,000 depending on what they have to do. We scope the work first and give you a fixed price before anything starts, so you are not agreeing to an hourly rate that keeps running.
Do I need a separate app for iPhone and Android?
Usually not. Most projects are best served by one codebase that ships to both stores, so you pay for one build rather than two and every change lands on iPhone and Android at once. That is usually the biggest saving on the whole project. Where a project genuinely calls for it we do build separate iOS and Android apps, and we will tell you which is the right call before you commit.
How long does it take?
A focused first version is normally eight to twelve weeks from the first call to the app stores. Bigger platforms take longer, and we will tell you that at the proposal stage rather than halfway through.
Do you handle the App Store and Google Play?
Yes. We set up the developer accounts in your name, prepare the listings, handle the review process and push updates after launch. You own the accounts and the app.
Where are you based?
Holywood, about ten minutes from Belfast. Most of our clients are within an hour of the office, so we can sit down together when that is easier than a call.
