AI chatbots
Custom chatbots trained on your own content and wired into your enquiry process, so answers are right and leads reach the right inbox.
Talk to us about a chatbotA generic chatbot guesses. One trained on your own content does not have to.
An off-the-shelf bot answers from whatever it was trained on, which is how businesses end up with a chatbot quoting prices they do not charge. We build on your own material: service pages, FAQs, policies, product data and PDFs. We also set boundaries for what it must not answer at all. When it does not know, it says so and passes the conversation to a person with the context attached.
Services, opening hours, prices, process, policies and product information, day or night.
Asks the right questions, collects contact details and sends the enquiry to the right inbox or CRM.
Escalation rules so a conversation reaches your team with everything already said attached.
Gathers the detail your team needs before a call, quote or consultation.
What it can answer, what it must avoid, when it escalates, and how conversation data is handled.
Prices, services and policies change, and the chatbot changes with them.

How a custom chatbot is built
Four steps, and a person signs off the answers before anyone else sees them.
Service pages, FAQs, price lists, policies, product data and PDFs. We read what you have, tell you where it contradicts itself, and agree what the chatbot is allowed to answer from.
What it must never attempt, when it has to escalate, what it should do with a complaint, and what happens to a conversation afterwards. This is the part that keeps a chatbot out of trouble.
Enquiries into the right inbox or CRM, bookings into the right calendar, and a hand-off that carries the whole conversation across so your team is not starting cold.
We put real questions through it before launch and keep watching afterwards. Where it answers badly, we correct the source rather than patching the symptom. Most builds run on Athena, our own platform, so corrections take minutes rather than a redeploy.
You get the approach, what is in, what is out, a timeline and a price before anything starts. No hourly rate quietly running in the background.
How much of it is bespoke, how many systems it has to talk to, and how much content needs moving across. We will tell you which of those is driving the cost.
A monthly plan covering updates, backups and small changes, priced separately so you can see exactly what the ongoing commitment is.
We run one ourselves
Athena answers for Element Seven, on this site, in the bottom right corner.
Athena is our own chatbot product, trained on our services, our work and our pricing, and connected to our enquiry process. It is the same approach we build for clients, which means we find the rough edges on ourselves first. Ask it something in the bottom right corner of this page, or read what it can do at athena.elementseven.co.
See AthenaAmazing experience working with Element Seven. Looking forward to the future with them helping us with our online solutions and systems. Highly recommended for any business but seem to have good understanding of the tourism sector in particular.
Common questions
What people ask before they commit to one.
How much content does an AI chatbot need?
It depends what it has to answer. Your website copy, service pages, FAQs, product information, PDFs and policies are a useful starting point. Thin or contradictory content is the most common reason a chatbot answers badly, so we tell you what is missing before we build rather than after.
Will the chatbot make things up?
A poorly configured one can. A custom build reduces the risk by controlling exactly which content it may answer from, setting boundaries on what it must not attempt, testing responses before launch and giving it a way to say it does not know. We would rather it handed over to a person than guessed.
Can the chatbot capture leads?
Yes. It can ask qualifying questions, collect contact details and send the enquiry straight to your inbox, CRM or booking workflow, with the whole conversation attached so nobody has to ask twice.
Can you add a chatbot to an existing website?
Yes, and most of the ones we build go onto a site that already exists. The approach depends on the platform, the quality of the content it will answer from, and what it needs to connect to.
How much does an AI chatbot cost?
A focused chatbot answering from your existing content starts lower than one wired into a CRM, a booking system and live data. We scope it and give you a fixed price before anything starts, with the monthly running cost shown separately.
Is chatbot data handled responsibly?
It has to be. Conversation logging, data retention, opt-outs, hand-off rules and any sector-specific obligations are agreed before launch rather than after someone asks.
